Tree Pest
and Disease Control
There are some common
and important pest and disease problems for tree owners. Honey Fungus, Vine Weevil, Aphids, Horse Chestnut Leaf Miner, Scale
Insects and fungal decays are all frequent occurrences in parks,
street and garden trees and shrubs.
More recent and highly publicised concerns include Oak Processionary
Moth, Asian Longhorn Beetle, and Phytophthora diseases that cause
blight of Oaks, Larch, and bleeding canker on Horse Chestnut and
other species.
Healthy
plants are more resistant to pest and disease attack and I can
advise on cultural improvements and ways to improve plant
vitality. I can provide sensible advice to help prevent and control
the incidence of tree pests and diseases, increase plant health
and develop an
integrated pest and disease management scheme.
